Editorial Policy

This policy covers the guide sections of the site: Home Testing and Sober Living. The NA community pages (meetings, helplines, minutes, literature) are service information, not editorial content, and carry no product recommendations.

Independence

Advertisers and affiliate programs have no influence on which products we cover or what we say about them. We do not accept payment for reviews, do not let manufacturers preview articles, and do not adjust rankings for commission rates. If a product with no affiliate program is the better recommendation, it gets the recommendation.

Sourcing

Health claims in our guides are checked against primary sources: SAMHSA and FDA guidance for drug testing standards, published clinical references for medical claims, and statutes or agency guidance (EEOC, Department of Labor) for legal topics. Where our experience in the recovery community informs a judgment, we say so in the text rather than presenting opinion as fact.

What we will not cover

We do not review, recommend, or link to products designed to defeat or falsify drug tests, including synthetic urine, adulterants and detox products marketed for test evasion. This is a permanent editorial position, not a legal formality: this site exists because of a recovery community, and helping people hide active addiction works against everything the rest of the site does.

Updates and corrections

Each guide shows the date of its last substantive update. When we learn that something we published is wrong, we correct the article itself rather than leaving the error in place. Found a mistake? Use the contact page; corrections get priority over all other mail.

Advertising

Display advertising is served by Google AdSense and is labeled as advertising. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every page that contains affiliate links and in the site-wide affiliate disclosure.
